Revised Street Tree Resolution

If you need to replace a street tree, please find below the list of approved trees for your replacement.

AMENDED CENTENNIAL STREET TREE RESOLUTION-March 13, 2014 …
                NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CENTENNIAL HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION THAT THE CURRENT STREET TREE RESOLUTION IS HEREBY AMENDED, AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION I.           The “red maple tree” specified in the current street resolution is hereby  removed as the required replacement tree.
SECTION II           Removed Street trees shall now be replaced with Oak, Elm Cultivars, October Glory or Red Pointe Maple.
SECTION III         Homeowners are advised to employ a reputable landscape company that is familiar with and will comply with City of Westfield rules, regulations and ordinances governing the planting of street trees.
SECTION IV         All other provisions of the street tree resolution currently in force shall remain intact and of the same force and effect as currently enacted.
ALL OF WHICH IS ORDAINED/RESOLVED THIS 13TH DAY OF MARCH, 2014
                It is important for the homeowner with street trees to know that it is the homeowner’s responsibility to remove any dead street trees on their property and that they must replace those trees.  The replacement should be at least 2 1/4 inch caliper or larger.  If the homeowner does not perform these obligations with respect to dead and/or removed street trees, then the CHOA may remove and replace the trees at the homeowner’s expense.

How to Get a Pool Keyfob

If you need a pool fob, please click here for the pool fob application.  Click here for the Pool Rules.  Complete the application and send it as directed on the form.  If you are a new homeowner in Centennial and did not get the keybfob from the previous homeowner, the first keyfob is complimentary.  Additional or replacement keyfobs are $10 each.
 
Security Systems in Centennial

Did you know that Centennial could be one of the most secure neighborhoods around?  That is true, because the Association negotiates and pays the monthly service fees for everyone.  It is your choice if you want to take advantage of it.  The service fees are paid out of the HOA dues that you already pay.  To activate your security system, please call First Mile Securities at 361-4999.
 
So you do not have a land line.  You can get a phone line at a reduced cost just for your security system.  The cost for the phone line is $2.50 plus FCC taxes or $10.46 per month.  Where else can you have a monitored security system for $10.46 a month?  There is a $49.95 installation charge for the special phone line and a demonstration of how the security system works.
 
First Mile also offers a cellular type system that works even if your regular phone line is cut or damaged for an extra charge.

Our preferred contractor for mailboxes and posts for the single family homes is Otto's Streetscape Solutions.  You may contact them by calling (800) 888-7996 or go online at www.ostreetscape.com to request a proposal.  Just tell them that you live in Centennial and they will know exactly what you need.  They have all of the community specifications for Centennial and they will do the installation if you wish.

Centennial Meeting House Available for Rent

The Centennial Meeting House is available to all Centennial residents to rent.  The building will accommodate most small events (20-30 people maximum).  If you are interested in renting the space for a personal function, the cost is $150.00, with $100.00 being refundable after an inspection of the building shows that the facility was properly cleaned and undamaged from the event. Click here for a copy of the rental agreement.

Pool Opening
Saturday, May 17th to Monday, September 1st, 10:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. at 535 Bucksport Lane


The pool opens on Saturday, May 17th.  The pool hours are 10:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. daily weather permitting.  The temperature has to reach 70 degrees for the pool to open.  If you are a new resident and need a key fob or you just need a replacement please click here and complete the Pool Fob Application.  Replacement or additional key fobs are $10 each.  You will be contacted when your key fob has been activated and ready for pick up.  Click here for a copy of the pool rules.  Residents who are not current with their Association dues will be barred from the use of all common amenities including the pool until such dues are paid in full, per the Common Amenities Resolution 8-13-2009.
 

 
 
Fall Centennial Community Garage Sale
Saturday, September 6th

The approved day for Centennial Fall Community Garage Sales is on September 6, 2014. There may not be any garage sales other than on the approved day for the entire community. This means that your sale may not start on Friday or continue through Sunday. There is also an approved day for garage sales in the spring as well.
